The Sandpiper Lodge offers a unique staying experience within Yellowstone National Park, with charming historical elements and close encounters with wildlife, such as elk. While the studio room was comfortable and well-kept, the high price point doesn't quite justify the lack of modern amenities like Wi-Fi and a TV. Additionally, the partying noise from nearby rooms affected the overall tranquility of our stay.

My stay at the Sandpiper Lodge was quite pleasant overall, with the proximity to Yellowstone's stunning natural beauty being a significant highlight. The lodge provided easy access to the historic Lake Yellowstone Hotel's amenities at a more affordable price. While I enjoyed the charming atmosphere and lived music, the room cleanliness fell short and could use better maintenance. Overall, it’s a decent choice for a national park stay, but I would like to see improvements regarding the cleanliness and the stair navigation.

Dining options were convenient but somewhat limited; the lack of space in the cafe made every meal feel a bit crowded.

While the hotel is beautifully historic and offers a unique stay within Yellowstone National Park, my experience was a mixed bag. The rooms are cozy but quite small, and the service was hit-or-miss, particularly during dining. The stunning views make for a lovely atmosphere, but the high price doesn't quite align with the amenities and service provided.

Rooms

The rooms are small but remodeled, with updated bathrooms. However, my room faced a parking lot, which was disappointing for the price.

I had such mixed feelings about my stay. The hotel itself has charm and historic appeal, and I really enjoyed the beautiful lake views from my room. However, the dining situation was an absolute mess, and I expected much more for the price I paid. The service was a bit inconsistent, which added to my frustrations during my stay.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms had lovely lake views, but they were quite dated and not cleaned thoroughly during my stay. I felt that a bit more attention to detail was needed for the price we paid.
Service

Service was hit or miss. While some staff were friendly, others seemed overwhelmed and didn't manage the dining situation well at all.
Location
10.0
The hotel is perfectly situated in Yellowstone National Park, right by the lake, making it easy to access nature activities.
Dining

The dining experience was confusing and quite disappointing. I waited way too long for the very limited menu options, which didn't meet my expectations.
Facilities

The common areas had a nice historic feel, but I was hoping for more dining options for breakfast and lunch.

The Lake Yellowstone Hotel is set in a beautiful location near the lake, providing easy access to park activities. The historic charm of the hotel adds to its character, but some rooms could use better maintenance, and the dining options were less than stellar, especially with the buffet only service. The price felt steep compared to what was offered.

Rooms
7.0
The room I was in had an adorable old-style bathroom, and while the bed was made up and comfortable, there was a touch of dust in spots. I had a lovely view of the lake, which made my stay more enjoyable.
Service
6.0
Service was a mixed bag; while I encountered some inefficiencies, there were few chinks in the armor during busier times.
Location
9.0
The hotel is centrally located within Yellowstone National Park, making it ideal for wildlife sightings and quick access to various attractions.
Dining
Facilities
